Many of our itineraries are tailor-made to suit the individual passenger's requests and we like to advise on road and weather conditions at the time of travel. As well as booking major hotels and lodges/camps, we arrange stays at selected ranches, exclusive private homes and private tented camps in Kenya and Tanzania.
Sightseeing is in comfortable 7-seater safari buses in Kenya and in 4x4 vehicles in Tanzania. An experienced English speaking driver-guide conducts the tours. Spanish, French and German speaking guides are available on special request. Our buses are equipped with long distance radios and the drivers are in contact with the head office in Nairobi at most times.
“Wing Safaris” (Flying Safaris) from Nairobi or Mombasa can be arranged for any number of passengers and days. Here you will be met in the national parks by a vehicle and driver-guide from the lodge or camp of your choice. All safaris are done in the lodge’s / camp’s own vehicles.

For a relaxing getaway, the Indian Ocean’s white sandy beaches and warm waters offer an idyllic destination. Flying packages to Mombasa, Malindi or Lamu are available and we will be happy to advise on the choice of hotels.
For a unique experience, visit the mysterious island of Lamu off the northern coast of Kenya. Narrow, winding streets, veiled women, coral stone houses and dhows with sails that billow in the wind reflect the Arab influence on this ancient East African seaport.
A living reminder of a bygone age.

All tours are individually planned to suit your interests and schedule. Whichever type of safari you prefer, let Muthaiga Travel help you plan your African adventure. We will ensure that it is your best holiday ever!
For budget travelers, we can offer camping safaris where clients sleep in two-person tents and travel either in minibuses or in trucks (18-25 seater). The clients help to set up the camp and generally the style is very simple but great fun for young people with limited funds. We also arrange bicycle and camel safaris where clients sleep in tented camps and explore Africa in a very interesting and unusual way.
Kenya and Tanzania are also excellent destinations for mountain climbers. Kilimanjaro on the Kenya/Tanzania border is the highest mountain in Africa and Mt. Kenya near Nanyuki the second highest. It also offers a challenge for rock climbers.
